It wasn't until later in my career that I found the courage to push beyond the boundaries that I'd been confined to for such a long time and to transcend the preconceived notions that attempt to limit whether or how I navigate spaces where I, as so many black people, had felt historically marginalised."

I’m beyond honored to be one of the co-chairs for next year’s Met Gala, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," Hamilton said.
"This theme speaks to me deeply...Growing up as the only Black kid on the track, so often that pressure got to me...For Black people across the diaspora, fashion is self-preservation. Fashion is resilience, and I can’t wait to further explore and amplify our underrepresented voices," he added.
