Alpine Formula 1 A525

The A525 represents a direct evolution of its predecessor, the A524, which underwent significant development throughout the 2024 season. That year concluded with two podium finishes at the São Paulo Grand Prix, securing us sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship. For 2025, the team is driven to build on this momentum and climb further up the ranks.

Our 2025 livery is a striking fusion of the classic Alpine blue and the globally recognized pink of Title Partner BWT. This eye-catching combination is ready to compete across the 24-race, five-continent spanning Formula 1 season.

Braking System

The A525’s braking system features carbon fiber discs and pads. Its brake calipers and master cylinders are linked to a fully integrated brake-by-wire system, which in turn connects to the vehicle’s energy management systems.

Chassis

The A525’s chassis is constructed from a moulded carbon fiber and aluminum honeycomb composite monocoque. This design, manufactured by BWT Alpine Formula One Team, prioritizes maximum strength and minimum weight. The Renault E-Tech RE25 Power Unit is integrated directly into the car, undergoing rigorous stress testing to ensure its durability and performance.

Fuel System

The A525’s fuel system utilizes a Kevlar-reinforced and homologated rubber fuel cell. This cell integrates a scavenge to primer pump fuel supply system for efficient fuel delivery.

Transmission & Hydraulics

The A525 is equipped with an eight-speed, semi-automatic, cassette gearbox that includes a reverse gear. It features a hydraulically operated “Quickshift” system designed to maximize the speed and consistency of gearshifts. Furthermore, the car incorporates a hydraulically controlled differential and a dedicated hydraulic supply for actuating the power unit, power steering systems, DRS, and the clutch.

Cockpit

The A525 cockpit is designed for optimal driver fit and control. It features a removable driver’s seat, meticulously crafted from anatomically formed carbon composite to suit each individual driver. A six-point harness seat belt secures the driver, and the entire assembly can be ballasted up to 80kg to meet weight regulations. The bespoke steering wheel is a central control hub, integrating gear shift paddles, clutch paddles, DRS controls, and a comprehensive driver display unit.

Suspension System

The A525’s front and rear suspensions feature carbon fiber top and bottom wishbones, utilizing pushrod-operated torsion bars. These connect to damper units strategically mounted inside the front of the monocoque for the front suspension and within the carbon suspension units at the rear. The setup is completed with aluminum uprights, complemented by BBS standard machined magnesium wheel rims and FIA standard wheel covers.
